Lake Mead is located approximately 45-60 minutes from the Strip. From I-15 South or Las Vegas Blvd., exit on 215 East. 215 East will turn into Lake Mead Drive. Stay on Lake Mead Drive until you enter the National Park. After you pay the National Park Service entrance fee at the entrance station, take the very first right, towards Boulder Beach. You'll pass a Ranger Station and the Fishery. Once you pass the sign for Boulder Beach, turn left immediately into Lake Mead RV Village.

Einer der absoluten traumplätze im Westen der USA. Hier unbedingt eine Nacht verbringen. Im Hochsommer z.T. sehr heiss und dann eine der neuen Sites mit E- + W-Hooh-ups wählen. Etwas teurer. (Im Preis ist immer der Eintritt in den State Park inkludiert)

Wer es ganz rustikal liebt, geht in den benachbarten Arch-Rock-Campground.

From jct Hwy 470 & Hwy 121 (Wadsworth Blvd): Go 1 mi S on Hwy 121, then E at the Deer Creek entrance. Achtung Höhenbeschränkung ich würde die zweite Empfehlen. Von Denver kommend ist das kein Umweg.

Die zweite Anfahrt ist die Plum Creek Entrance

Santa Fe to Titan Parkway. West on Titan to Roxborough Park Road. Take a right on Roxborough Park Road which leads directly into Chatfield State Park.

The Deer Creek Entrance has a height limitation of 12 Fuß 6 Inch. Camping units taller than this should use the parks Plum Creek Entrance

Achtung

Wie bei allen anderen SP in Colorado muss zusätzlich zur Campinggebühr noch der SP Eintritt bezahlt werden. Das waren 2008, 7 USD. Reservierung ist wegen der Nähe zu Denver von Freitag bis Sonntag unbedingt von Nöten.
