Boondocking Platz im Lincoln National Forest, erreichbar über den Billy the Kid National Scenic Byway in den kühlen Bergen der Mescalero Reservation nordöstlich des White Sands National Park. Kein fließend Wasser; Vault Toilets.
The Upper Bonito Dispersed Recreation Area is located at the end of Forest Road 107 in Bonito Canyon.
Directions: Proceed north from Ruidoso on NM48. Turn left on NM37 and approximately 1.5 miles turn onto Forest Road 107. Continue on Forest Road 107 past Bonito Lake for approximately 7 miles (unpaved road). The area is located on the south side of the canyon near the junction of Forest Roads 107 and 108 (Tanbark Canyon)
